Hi all, I have a rookie question, please bear with me.

I will heading over to bkk in couple weeks' time, but just realised the hotel which came with the free & easy package is not listed as "guest-friendly" (can't find it in any list on the internet). So, if I were to bring a lady back, what implications can I expect?

They will still let your lady friend stay overnight but u pay a "joiner fee" of Bht600 to Bht1,000 (plz correct me here, last time I paid a joiner was 5 years ago).

Correct Bro Nonteerak, Isaan region is North East Thailand bordering Laos. The Laotian language and Isaan dialect share similarities. Some present Isaan natives are assimilated Laotian slaves brought over by one of the Thai king's conquest or was once part of Laos (historical buffs plz check). Laos and north eastern Thailand is just separated by the Mekong river so over the centuries the peoples from both sides traded, migrated and inter-married. Usually darker skin Isaan natives come certain parts of Isaan which I can't remember off hand, Korat? Mukdahan?

Some north easterners like those from Kon Kaen & Loei are pretty fair skinned and sharp features. People from Loei province even have their own unique dialect aside from Isaan.

Northern Thailand would be Chiangmai-Chiangrai region where most fair skin Thais hail from. Bordering Yunnan province which has the Tai ethic group which is quite similar to modern day Thais. Northern Thailand has it's own distinct dialect too.

I'm new here. i will be going to BKK and stay near BTS Chit Lom area for 3 days. can anyone recommend some clean & dirty message (hopefully not below THB2,500) & bar/pub for drink that someone nearby.
