How about foreigners travelling to Thailand for meetings?

Thailand announced letting in only 1000 foreigners per day for a start.
But to be one of those lucky 1000 is harder than striking 4D.

I accompanied a relative to the Thai Embassy because the website said to apply through their embassies. Requirements sibeh strict..... was told the 1000 quota wss only for business travellers and those with thai spouses. Casual tourists will not be able to get approval.

Even for business travellers...... must produce documentation that presence is required in Thailand. Going there for business meetings does not qualify as they say meeting can be done via electronic media and no need to be physically present in Thailand.

And that 1000 quota is not just for SG..... but includes all the applications from around the world which amounts to @ 200,000 applications daily.

Regarding the voting for the next GE, cannot go back sg and no polling station in Sg Embassy in Sathorn.
Sg passpoer holders no need to vote and after the GE need to go reapply to restore voting rights and state the reason .

Back in 2015, my friend was in working in Myanmar and he couldn't get to vote as well as they didn't have a polling station in the SG embassy over in Yangon. Now that he is back in SG and election fever is here, he went to check on his voting status and it seems that his voting rights have been automatically restored without him needing to lift a finger.

I wonder if they got do their math on how many percent of these countries tourist are really keen in "clean decent" group tour?

Thailand has gone 37 days since recording any local transmission of the virus. So by right it fall into the WHO low risk cat but then seem like some countries like sg don't prioritize allow thais to enter their countries yet.

No choice, the depend a lot of china to pour money there to save them else will not survive
