Kinda true... I only manage to get normal atm card when I was a tourist and a debit card when I got my work permit. Funnily I did ask about credit card and kasikorn told me that I have to prepaid it eg. like put in 300k and they will issued a credit card of 300k spending limit... LMAO... what's the point?

Oh yes. That's how it goes. But I was able to get a debit. As for credit card, I felt it does not make sense. You will be like buying the card limit with the deposit you put in. Might as well I just stick with debit.

I think mid 2021 should be open but will be selective. If Thailand still implement the 2 weeks compulsory quarantine at hotels I doubt many people will want to come back in.

Best to stick with debit, don’t spend what you don’t have. Dangerous lah. 😅

🤣😂 after a while, it does get boring. When I enter a gogo bar for the first time in my life, I was like 🤩 a kid in a candy store. So many ladies, so many pairs of boobies.. but after some time, it starts getting boring and repetitive.

Not in the next 6 to 9 months for sure.,

Its works about the same as local Singapore, if we dont have much doc to use to apply for c.c
Make a F.D and the amount the bank needed, and get the c.c
but many bank reluctant to do c.c for foreigner, becos paper works will kill them.
In Thailand, payment by mobile is so easy and also, cash is still king in Thailand.:D

Didn’t come onto Sammy forum for many months... 1 thing I find good about COVID is that the forum name’s calling, verbal abuse and newbie belittling also stopped. Hopefully when the borders reopened, the forum can keep it this way...

As i have the yellow book with my name and address i stay in thailand as proof of residence.
