Thanks bro. Was planing to do that but got so many reports and news about state of emergency, protests bombs, blockades etc. so abit concerned my holiday will be spoiled. Still undecided whether to postpone or not. Just trying to get more info from others that are in BKK to ascertain the situation. Got some advice from other forums to avoid until election over or at least stabilized abit

Hahaha:D... I'm not there yet but guess it be fine if we avoid the protest area. Try asking the guys here. Some of them should be in bkk now. I'll be there only next weekend during the election:p

Aetas in Phoenchit is a reasonable business hotel, circa bht2500. Good, central location yet quiet -acoss the fancier Conrad and All Seasons mall. It's a 200m walk on Soi Ruamrudee (or take motorsai from main road, Novotel at thb10).

BTS Phoenchit at corner main rd. Walk to Nana 5-10mins. BTS to Asoke (2 stops) for Soi Cowboy.

My regular stop last 1-2 years, without paying OTT bht4-6k in fancier digs

If I've this amount of money, I choose S15, or holiday inn.

S15, just few steps away from Star Wars cantina, can always go see see look ess if feeling horny after clubbing. :D Terminal also nearby about 50 steps away. Not to forget the money changer at Ruamchit offers good rate like green or orange super rich. :D

Holiday Inn, just few steps to cowboy, walkable to the addict, walkable to SD, and few steps to terminal. :D

Otherwise there's many other hotel, with similar like this two hotels that I've mentioned.

I stayed at Wellness Spa hotel last night. Right in front of the hotel is the mob camping there.
But so far seems peaceful enough.
I don't feel in danger at all.

Soi cowboy is just 20steps from the hotel. I haven't gone there yet. Any Bros in Bangkok want to go gogo bar hopping tonight? Let me know. I will check back later. Just leave me a Whatsapp/line contact. We go Nana bar hopping. Haha

Hotel damage is between 1000-1300 baht. For prime location.

I might drop by Bangkok on 27-8/01/14 if get too bored in South Thailand or get addicted to 14 hour coach rides. :D
Bangkok on 02/02/14 is very firm!

Yup. Thanks bro. It's exactly how I remembered it last year when I stayed at Aetas. Tim has good price for it. Nice hotel for 2-3 days stay. Free Tutuk shuttle to bts in daytime. I stayed at citrus 23 too. Better location to soi cowboy and slightly cheaper but more of boutique hotel compared to Aetas which is really nice 4-5 star hotel

Just not sure how situation there is affected now. If access to nana and soi cowboy would be blocked or not. But I decided to go ahead at this point.
