I think not confirm yet bro... the TV station jumped the gun... last I heard they just finished round one for today's meeting. Tmrrw come back TCSS session again

There is NO curfew as of now....in fact in Prayuth's Press conference on the 20th afternoon..he clearly stated that he DID NOT want to have to impose a curfew. When a reporter repeatedly asked if there would be a curfew...our gung ho General retorted back by asking tat particular reporter to go and have her ear checked later..and asked..."DO U want a curfew??"....

So...NO...there is NO curfew as of now.

Also, there is NO army appointed PM yet....and if u had news tat there was gonna be one appointed...it just means tat the news jumped the gun and prob would get f*#ked by Prayuth for tat.

In the 3 days tat Prayuth has been in charge he has made more sense than all the bloody politicians over the course of the past year. A fren of mine (Thai army officer at the meeting) told me tat when Suthep insisted tat he still would go ahead with the State Workers' strike planned...he actually got farked by Prayuth saying....When will u have enough or u wanna carry on your walkabout inside a prison cell".:D

Alot of things are not certain as of now...everybody is waiting for more news....things are still normal here but nobody knws wat will happen next and its really not helping by giving news tat is not confirmed by the military as of now.

Bro, your comments makes the most sense unlike some who just anyhow hamtam dunno who his sources are

Curfew - if there was it would be enforced. I was there in 2010 and really Bangkok streets damn quiet with curfew. Offices let all their workers off early, everyone rushing to buy food and get back home before 8pm.

Appointed PM - yesterday's meeting at Army Club more like for selfie session. I understand is this guy was proposed by Suthep's side? He is retired former head of army and part of the Queen's clique.

Guessing is Ocha told all of them "this is the plan now all of you go back and think about it. Today 2pm meeting let me know all your decisions." Ocha is known to have little patience with the press. He is quiet snappy with them.

I am just curious what he is really thinking and whose side he is really on.

LOL!
I think most of us still remember how it was when as a newbie, we'd be eager to "join the party" and would get all excited when we THINK we've got some wonderful news or insight about any topic.

Besides which, such posts DO give variety and color to threads -no? Ha Ha!

And what are the chances that the poster's Thai colleague - who gave him the "news" - probably cannot really distinguish the difference between "Curfew" "Martial law" or indeed a lot of other English words?

Anyway - enough fun and games during my lunch hour/back to work - and my thanks to you all here who are providing us with the latest news and opinions etc. Very useful

Bro IMO....thanks for the compliment. I just feel tat we should be stating wat is definite and not hear say especially in such a time.

Yes,if there was a curfew, u can expect it to be strictly enforced...and then all u bros planning for ur trip to BKK can forget it laew if curfew is imposed coz tat means ur nite party and cheonging is gone

As for General Prawit being appointed PM...well, nothing is confirmed or known yet...its hear say still. Yes,he was probably proposed by certain parties but its not gonna be easy as they still cant agree on an appointed PM nor a so called Neutral PM.

Like i mentioned earlier, its still early days in this drama...and it looks to be carrying on for a little much longer....so all we can do is stay tuned and see....this afternoon's meeting will be interesting to see wat comes out of it though...we may get a better picture of wat to expect then.

10pm - 5am curfew enforced

The military's national peacekeeping committee has declared a curfew across the country, hours after a coup was announced. The curfew will be enforced between 10pm and 5am until further notice, deputy army spokesman Winthai Suwaree announced on national television on Thursday evening.
