FROM BK MAGAZINE 555+ :D

"The coup’s critics are really ramping it up. Eight people showed up at Paragon holding copies of 1984, by George Orwell, as possible references to 1984, by George Orwell. Then, 100 people showed up at Terminal 21 doing that three-finger sign from Hunger Games, which some interpreted as a reference to Hunger Games.

The National Committee for Peace, Love and Order reacted appropriately, sending 1,300 soldiers to Victory Monument, dispatching Humvees with mounted turrets to Asoke and shutting down central Bangkok’s BTS stations. Their message is clear: enough with the cultural references. “We’ve had it with these little nods and winks to stuff we’ve never read or seen,” said Lt. Col. Pornthip Jumthong, the National Committee for Peace, Love and Order spokesperson, before threatening to delay the lifting of the curfew for Patpong, Phuket and Pattaya’s sex tourists until everyone learns to behave.

“It makes our jobs much harder,” she continued. “I just had to watch King Naresuan 5 to see if Kong Rithdee was trying to divide society or simply slammed it because it’s a terrible movie. It turns out, it just is really very boring, so we won’t court martial him. But I’ll never get those two hours of my life back!”

The National Committee for Peace, Love and Order has moved to officially ban thinly veiled references. Holders of “Army Get Out” and “No Coup” signs will be court martialed and released after very humane two-year jail terms. But those holding up weird books or making obscure hand gestures will be dragged into taxis by plainclothes officers never to be seen again.

“We can’t tolerate this kind of behavior,” Lt. Col Pornthip explained. “It’s psychological terrorism. This country has a proud tradition of reading very little, and if you don’t like it, I have to ask, ‘Are you Thai?’”

Page 3 is satire, not news.

Lmfao!

If you do get the points, all it does is to drive home the message about clones, gangs and other "unique" things that happens here.

Most any other boards, such bile-filled, totally useless post bereft of any merit - bordering on insanity - would be ample cause for censure and even banning.

But as I said, this board IS unique!
More power to SBF!!

Whatever makes his day. Also, I find most amusing when clones x-talk to each other. Anyways, I haven't zapped anyone ever.. only bump worthy posts :p

Psst..I even heard of people managing their clone army on spreadsheet!

LOL - yes! This board really does stand out because of the anonymous zapping....and the resultant clones, gangs, alliances whatever! I've discussed this with Boss and he likes this/says it imitates real life. Errrr.. In the ghettoes?! LOL!

Anyway, I've pretty well accepted this and working within the system here; I am actually quite ok and in fact/ instead quite appreciative of/for all the upz that I've received.

An actual spreadsheet for his clones?! Seriously? Oh my!!

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement - appreciate it.

And yes as above, I don't really worry about it....just so long as I don't get into negative red figures?! LOL

Thanks for sharing TDK. Upped your points (I hope I did it correctly). Unfortunately been away from Singapore and SBF for many years during which they changied the rep and power system. But am visiting ASEAN a little more frequently now and hope to be more active.

Who wants to place a bet on the length of the curfew? 555

Good logical post GSK. The main issue here is, the bulk of the tourist season is towards the winter. November to February. Secondary from the Indian sub-continent May to June.

The issue also is, how is the curfew affecting the sex trade and night-life?

I would expect the curfew to be lifted by August or September, well in time to send out the message to ang mo tourists to come on over in the winter.

Your thoughts please?

My thoughts on the curfews.

As per news, they already lifted up the curfew at Patts, Phuket and Samui na ka.

These three province I assumed has the most tourists ka.

In bkk life still as per normal for those doesn't care about democracy etc.

I believe they soon will shorten the curfew timing, and slowly will lift it up eventually na ka.

Some part of Bkk night life is still as spicy as it is na ka. :D

A quick shout out to the papasan and the facilities at Emanuelle. Papasan wasn't very pushy nor impatient when I left in the first instance. The rooms there are definitely a notch above Nataree. I know Nataree gets all the plaudits for its great range, but there are gems to be found in the others too.

That for the great FR bro. For the PSE have your tried the Eden Club? I used to go there about 10 years ago when I was living in Singapore. How is the scene nowadays?

Thanks in advance.

The basic logic still remains.... if u have no rep power, u are unable to up or down others rep pt.
