You can see the business model of most Agogo Bars are not geared towards retaining repeat customers. Why? As the entry point (fee) is low there'll always be "suckers" walking in everyday. Very different from MPs or G-Clubs where they've membership deals.

Moral of the story. Avoid getting bonks from Agogo Bars. Also not cheap these days. Pushy mamasans and waitresses didn't help either. :rolleyes:

Yo bros... dun mind, but would like to ask a quick qn. Do we pay when the drinks are served, or only before we leave? Cos was watching on youtube on soicowboy, and saw some white slip that looked like the bill. Can anyone advise? Anything to check?

There are menu on the tables ( for some bars in SC ). Check first.
Order and the bill comes. Drink and pay when you are done.

Bar fines are 600thb and 700thb. Lady drinks are 150 thb but the girl gets 50 thb in Baccara. ST is 2000 thb, LT is 4000 thb.

Shark Bar is down on good lookers. Baccara is up. Tilac is up. The rest of the bars, forget it.

Normally, your bill will be presented to you and will be put in a check bin (open container) when the drinks are served. My advise is to check the bill to see if it is correct before putting it into the bin. Bars have been known to pad the bills (or give you the wrong bill)

Point out to the waitress if the bill is incorrect. Normally, they will not kick a fuss if you are right. Lady drinks and your drinks are different prices so take note of that.

My practice is to clear the bin (pay up) after 3 or 4 rounds of drinks. There may be 6 or 7 different bills in the bin at that time and it becomes difficult to keep track of the tab after that.

Normally, I'll tip the waitress 20 or 50 baht before leaving (for good will) or sometimes, I let the waitress keep the change as tips.

For newbies, keep to Soi Cowboy, Nana and Patpong (first floor). I'm not to sure about the situation now but there use to be some establishments on Patpong (upper level) that are a total con job. Exception would be the King's Group Go-go bar. They are safe to go even though they tried to pad my bills once or twice.

Why forget it? Many of the other bars have cuties, and barfines that start from 300 or 350 thb in the smaller bars. Also can find girls willing to go ST 1500 without too much hassle.

In my case, Baccara is forget it. Gals have lousy attitude, and too ex. :p

Speaking like a true BKK veteran! :D

I clear my bill with every round of drinks when served in case I need to push the eject button during an emergency. So I can just pat my ass and buzz off in a second. LOL.
