Arsenal's main target is to surpass Tottenham:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...target?cc=4716

Boy... Boy... Since when did the mighty gonners become goners or even bonkers? Why is surpassing Tottenham the main target now? Look what this small little rich boy is talking about. Hahaha...

I hope Spurs players can be more mature by getting themselves ready to surpass themselves instead of surpassing any teams in EPL. It is only surpassing yourselves that you carry on to improve...

This is a statement:

I think Sandro is right. We need to put our talking where the result is. We need to start winning against Man City, Man Utd, Chelski... especially our big london rivals...

Bale played, but there is no right wing. I think we need to seriously look at Danny Rose as Lennon's replacement. Train him up and he could be one of the stars.

Draw is a fair result given the evenness of the 2 teams. We lost VDV at half time due to hamstring problem. There seems to be a growing injury problem at Spurs. Hopefully, we can get over it during Christmas as we have a schedule of tough fixtures coming up from Jan to Mar.

it was a brilliant bale charge on the wing that led to ade's goal.
but spurs should get the 3 pts in whl, giving chelski 1 pt is no good.

Looking at the fixtures, Man Utd and Spurs only have to face 1 of the top 7 up till Christmas while the rest has a higher chance to drop points when they need to play the current top 7. For Man Utd, they don't have to worry too much about losing 1-6 to Man City because Man City will lose points if they are not careful and Man Utd can catch up anytime.

As for Spurs, I think we only have ourselves to blame if we cannot make use of this period with convincing performance, which is usually the case for Spurs to fall flat on their face, until 20 Dec Chelski match.

Hopefully, everything will work out fine for us to take advantage of the present fixture arrangement before we hit another rough patch of fixture after the new year, namely 21 Jan 12 to 24 Mar 12. After that, we will have 8 more matches before the season end.

I guess enough have been said above. Man City did start to lose points and Man Utd has already caught up.

As for Spurs, we didn't fall flat on our face until Xmas. Hopefully, more results come Spurs way.

Feb 11 vs Tottenham (A)
Mar 10 vs Arsenal (A)
Mar 31 vs Liverpool (H)
Apr 14 vs Chelski (A)
May 5 vs Man City (H)

Basing on the above fixture of the current top 7 playing against each other, Spurs has the most hectic of them, having to play these 6 teams within Jan 22 to Mar 24 (2 months). With injury mounting, I guess Harry has to work hard to get a defender as well as a right winger to secure our position and endure this crazy schedule, but all may not be lost as Spurs have 8 more matches to recover before the season ends.

Arsenal is the 2nd earliest team to clear all 6 teams by Apr 21. While Man U and Man City still has to face each other on Jan 8 FA Cup fixture, for now... and maybe more Europa fixtures. With Arsenal improving, I can see Arsenal squeezing back into top 4 contention.

IMHO, Man City, Chelski, Liverpool and Newcastle need to play the season out in order to secure their final standings.

Hopefully, everything turns out well for Spurs.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

A good win at Carrow Road:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=318133&cc=4716

2 goals from Bale seals it for Spurs, although there were plentiful of chances to win by a bigger margin. The boys seems able to up-a-gear as and when they like in this match. I think this is a good sign for the team.

Well Done Lads!!!
Well Done Harry!!!

This has given us some breathing room ahead of a tough beginning next year, however, we still need to secure an away result at Liberty Stadium, Swansea, on New Year's eve.

All-in-all 4 more matches before we visit Etihad Stadium, which will see us on level in terms of matches played. It is very critical that the players stay fit and focus on each individual game. We just need to concentrate on securing our result as we cannot have any say in other results as well as we must not let ourselves into a position where we need other results to help us.

Hopefully, the run can go on (to-date 12 wins, 2 draws & 1 lost since the starting 2 games is a great result).

A brace from in-form Gareth Bale helped Tottenham pull four points clear of Chelsea to cement third place in the Premier League table with a 2-0 win at Norwich.

if only brilliant bale scored one more to complete his hat trick, they would have let him take home a norwich terrier. :D
