Hi bros that are in bangkok, I just managed to contact Bro Nookie (yes, the one that apparently is staying up the mountain) and he confirms that most if not all of the nightlife places are under some kind of order to close by midnight or 1am for the next 1 week (may even be extended to 2 weeks).

According to him, this includes; G Clubs, AGGs and even discos. Gosh, bad timing to be going to Bangkok now but I am booked for a trip today (5/3) till Sunday, so I guess will just have to make the most of it. Apparently, he also mentioned that most places will start early like from 6/7pm onwards because of the change in operation hours. So I guess the info so far that operation hours are changed to Happy Hours timing is accurate and to answer the above qn, it seems like well they are affected too.

If any bros in Bangkok having some kind of outing, please let me know as I will be keen to join (tried to get Bro Nookie to get down from mountain but he is not available :( ).

Sorry dumb question. Are soapy massage places at hwai juang also closed in this day?. Yesterday went there all lights at entrances are switched off. Doors close and no activity. But saw a few cars.

Most MP last order about 10-11pm... will it be affected, for u to think. :D Why yesterday they were closed, the reason is simple, check out/google what special occasion or day was it in Thailand.

FR on NEP 5 Mar.

Pop by NEP around 6.30pm, clubs are not really open for business yet.
Gals are still preparing/make up etc.

Went back ard 8.30pm. Business and party as usual.

Most bars in NEP still open at 0130am when i left.

I checked with a several bars, all told me they will going to close as usual at 2am.

The girls not used to come to work so early. That's why they are still preparing or make up. They can open until 2am as long as the MiB dun come into the plaza and make them close. Onyx still open as at now 0230am

Ok cool. I wasn't sure as I thought the Buddha day only affect alcohol serving Gogo bars based on wording of some posts. Thanks

Most if not all establishments are closed on that day which includes government offices,banks etc. A day where many Thais would make merit at temples even in the wee hours. :D

Cheers. Lucky I didn't need to change money on that day. Last time read a bro post say agogo bars and clubs not open but didn't mention Soapie massage place so I thought maybe they are open. Next time will just stay at hotel. Thanks again

Bars at nana resumed opening at 8pm. As for many places , did not shut at midnight. Until further notice. :D

Was at nana R4 just now around 11.15pm. But left about 15 mins before 12am. Place still crowded. Maybe fri nite. Did not seem like closing soon. Ask my girl when they close. But she didn't reply. Maybe didn't understand my question.
