The night market at the old quarters was very crowded too.

It's in Gia Lam district. I knew that from my first trip. Got 2 bonks for a grand total of 600k. Yeah. The price is low but the service is terrible and quality wise nothing to shout about.

I rather pay higher price for better satisfaction. Unlike some cheapskates who think they are very smart just because they know some lobang. :D

most of the guys who visit Hanoi or HCM have their itinerary either work related or gal related...all these unknown factor will not be easy to plan if to meet you...also many say they going but hv not bought tickets...so you see how to be firm to meet...:)

I always go alone to HCM, Hanoi and China.

I came without booking hotel. Luckily my gal did not aeroplane me.
First night stay at the a25 hotel for 500k . Gal friendly
had dinner with her sister and friends
4 ppl eat 1.5m at toky 38 seafood restaurant
Nice place and ambience

Then 2nd day moved to halong bay
Again hotel was 500k . Went to visit halong bay.
Now third night in hanoi.

Used wechat whilst first night here. Followed up with 2 gals.
One jio me out for drinks. Other asked for short time at 3m for short time
Scheduled to return on tuesday afternoon. How do I ask my current gal to go off
Do I say I meeting friends and let her go off ?

Second day in Hanoi now, I think HCM is much easier to get around to find massage places and salon or nightclubs...
Have a date with 1 girl from wechat. Nothing happened just eating and movie. Found other girls in wechat for plan b, but have not tried any yet.

If you have 2 weeks to spare and dun mind getting sore bum, u can take the bus and travel the 1,000+ km journey frm north to south. Otherwise flight will just be a couple of hrs.

In Hanoi, plenty of budget hotels in Old Quarter, mostly within walking distance of Hoan Kiem lake. Tong Duy Tan (pronounced: turn dwee turn) district also not bad, plenty of food stalls at night.

Bus journey takes around 36 hours and 3 change of buses to reach HCM from Hanoi...:)

If u can take the super long hours journey or distance, why not? I will rather take domestic budget air than torturing myself in the bus......
