I will be in BKK for business this week. Intend to cheong my usual haunt Spicy and Mixx but noticed on google search that Spicy is "permanently closed"???

Is Spicy still alive? :confused:

btw I have never been to insanity but have heard good reviews. Can anyone here compare Insanity to Mixx or Spicy?

Tons of so called model in Thailand. I always say in this forum, a lot of gers pay magazine, pay media to be "model". A lot these gers join any competitions when there is opportunity. This is the easiest way for above average gers to make big money in term of small time modeling, selling pussy, spot by rich man and so on. How many so called Thai models actually appear in "real commercial"?

Go any MP, model = higher price... u will ask model for?? :D

They are not born with good looks unfortunately. Most if not all of them went under the knife countless times, Botox ,fillers etc. boobs /nose definitely as well as skin treatment.

Dun compare those lousy magazine models with the professional models we talking about here lah. Like u said , many different tiers of models. Not all models are those lower tier ones. All these need to be picked from hundreds and thousands of contestants to emerge as top10-20 finalists. Not that easy as just take some portfolios and transform to become a "model". :p

Lastly u cannot compare a "model" cat @ lord with such professional racequeen models/fhm models. U won't see them working at lord anyway. They command a better rate at the private market. :D

They are born with basic of so called beauty... Take an example, will someone of a height of 1.2m be your top model? Knife will enhance or might not.


I am just stating the general fact of so called models here. I am stating, a lot of gers call themselves model. We dun go into asking them, model for CP, 7-11?

U still dun get what I wanted to mean, then ignore it n continue with what u want to believe. No point arguing on this. I am not in this industry.

I said, in general, a lot of normal gers want to sell or whatever reason, join competition, be it big or small events. Pay to be appeared in magazine and so on.... Thus they become models. When they are so called models, then they are expected to earn more.

Most models are not very tall in particular. Most range from 1.6-1.7. Please do not talk about someone of 1.2m tall. Most average Thai girls fall under 1.5-1.7m tall. :p a lot of these models used to be dark skinned / flat chest / average face when they are 12-15 year old btw if u do know them in person or reality.

I was only relating to the video / the lady that was mentioned in the video. We are not in any discussions of models here. She is a top 20 finalist for fhm Thai 2015 anyway.

i dun really quite get what u trying to prove here too. About these models paying to be in magazines etc. well just like most of us would want to work and get better paid in companies. We take up important assignments and add them to our resumes for our next job.

Whether they do it for fame or $$, it's their choice. Willing buyers willing sellers. At least they are smart to upgrade their "hardware" and hitch a rich buyer than to stand at Sukhumvit and get paid 5k baht for LT. some drive Mercz/Porsche even.

Being a model does not mean they have to get into media/acting etc. most of them are paid well enough in their modeling industry. Taking up assignments for events/exhibitions at bitec bangna/etc. not everyone born to be a actress/actor. A model is good at what she is. Her looks/bodies/smile. Does not mean she need to ACT or appear in adverts. pardon me if I'm wrong. ;) they have the right to choose which ever industry they want to remain. Some choose to become escorts as well lol.

Guess u now understand what I meant. Most so called models are like what u described... Once they are a "model" they get upgraded. Thus they expected to be paid higher. In general, how to be "model"? Join all competitions, pay to appear in magazine and so on and hopefully gold grows on the tree.

Only SOME are in the escorts industry. Not all. It's just stereotyping everyone. Just like degree holders of the same relevant industry of some sort. Why some are paid more and some are paid lesser graduating from the same NTU/NUS? Because some have relatively more experience/portfolios etc. likewise they are paid more for the same position whereas the rest settle for lesser.

Same here, with better "titles" like maxim/fhm finalists, one could negotiate and get the same assignments at a better paycheck. The lower tier unknown models will be models for brands like Chevrolet / Hyundai. The better ones will be models for Mazda/Benz/etc. the better well known u are, u get more companies to come engage your modeling services during exhibitions like this. U get to choose. ;)

Everyone wants to upgrade themselves in some way or another. But not all models are plainly doing it for the easy way. A lot of them enjoy what they do best at modeling photos / MCs. :)

Some are talent scouted to be in the filming industry , some declined. Some choose to do what they originally started. Some steer into the easy money industry. Also there are different tiers of models. The one involved in the video is definitely not just some cheap magazine "models" like u imagined.
