If you are going to NanShan or BaoAn, still SZ airport is nearer.

Futian is somewhere in between.

Furthermore, if you land at night (after 1030pm), it could be a big hassle to get to Shenzhen from HK. The limo service which takes you directly across the border to the hotel doorstep ends sometime around 11pm. So you can only get to the border and then lug your suitcase and go across. :(

No OKT approached me on the street, whereas on a previous trip, I was approached every 30 mins or less. I regretted throwing away the phone numbers of the OKT and a masseuse I met on my previous trip. Always check for public events in SZ before going. Their YanDa is damn annoying.

Tiger flies in late at about 11.30pm for Shenzhen, so if you need to be here by evening, i will suggest flying to HKIA, then catch the express bus from HKIA to Fu Tian Port, which takes about 45 mins..
