I believe that's where my Thai colleagues brought me, a Gclub called Maiyake. Many SYTs puying strutting their stuff and really you'll be spoilt for choice. Small language problem though easily overcome by expert body language and continuous flow of JW. ;)

Actually Songkran in Bangers not as crazy as up country. Khaosan with all the farangs, some local neighborhoods and RCA's street party. Capital is quite sedate in comparison to Patts.

Was planning to drive up but tilak was against it coz drunken Thais high on Leo & Sangsom will cause a lot of fatal road accidents every holiday season.

I wish. Still trying to find a good job with assignment there. I was in Rayong for 2 months so had chance to go some places in krungthep and pattaya. My very limited Thai learnt during that period is getting worse by each day stuck in Sinkapore. In fact, just back from puying fix in local TD but gave up practicing so I really is maikowjai...jin jin wor.

Surely a weekend of fun in Krungthep is worth a few hours drive, don't you think bro? :p

Rayong scene is less sophisticated and 乡土味 is somewhat heavy I felt. Have MP, Ktv, FL pickup disco etc concentrated around main city road area and in the main hotels. Understand that during late 90s to early 00s there were more investments and farang but seems to have lessened in recent years. Also people working there will come out to Pattaya or Krungthep or take ferry to Samet during weekends. Never found any place special or happening, there is a huge disco near Rayong City Hotel full of locals and puyings that is damn dark I remember. Didn't stay for long coz was alone and felt dangerous lol. Maybe I never explored enough to find any other "happening" place, weekend always chiong Krungthep na. :D

Well back to topic. Most recent trip I went to Nataree in the afternoon with a friend, 4pm and the place is quite crowded both gals and customers.
