i am going to shenzhen next month...

is shekou a good recommendation to stay?

im travelling solo and would like to be reasonably near places that has nice food and some shopping...

of course at night i would like some nightlife as well..

anyone can advise if my area is ok? or any other recommendations?

also does shenzhen have entertainment like CP type? KTV with girls n all?

why dont you try CP haha. 30 mins train ride away for good nightlife. From what i know shenzhen KTV is more expensive.

been there a few times... just wanted to try giving shenzhen a try as im looking for nice food and shopping too this time

you could scroll up and check out my recommendations to hawk88 bro.. that area not bad.. the Sunshine hotel beside Kaili hotel has ktv too.. not sure about the charges.. king glory shopping centre is near, queen spa also walking distance, food wise quite a lot of variety around the area.. got one disco around there too.. forgot the name.. Club M or M8 or something like that.. that club quite a lot of chio bus, but also a lot of hooligans.. be careful.. otherwise, this hotel also near 向西路, where there's BBS.. so too bad bah..

I had do some home work and been there day trip twice before. your area is more to attraction like 'World of Windows', Splendid China Culture, etc. Its not near to Luo Hu or Guomao where shopping, eating are around that area tho ur shekou also got some shopping. There is a seafood street near Luo Hu call 'Le Yuan Lu'. As for cheonging, no idea at all.

Need help from senior bros here. This is my first trip to SZ.

I am going to SZ via Hong Kong. My flight arrival is around 8.30pm. I hope to go through Fu Tian customs. Can senior bros here advise me which method is the most convenient? And Fu Tian Customs close at what time?

One of the cheapest way is to take public bus A43 from below the airport arrival terminal to Sheung Shui MTR station and take a KCR East Rail train (2 station away) to Fu Tian staition that cost about 60HKD (Journey about 1hr). Another way is to take the express coach from airport to SZ that cost about 150HKD.

Take note the last train timing from Sheung Shui to Lok Ma Chau/Futian Kouan is 22:11hrs.

Luohu and Futian Border close at 23:59hrs.
Huanggang Border operates 24 hours.

I have been in shenzhen for two mth lo. I would suggest bro to go golden sand sauna near guo mao. Go to guo mao and use baidu map. You should be able to get there. Good luck all...
Ktv wise I never try.. I got budget constraints.
