Yes.., BKK is bad situation now. But what surprise me, is that, despite the poor situation, thai currency is climbing up back strongly against Singapore dollars?! someone please advice.

Thailand do not depend on currency or political economy for it's GDP ..
Thailand have a lot of argicultural resources like rice ...
thus it's currency can be strong despite what's happening politically in bkk now ...
just like US ... we dun see any free-falling on US$ despite what's happening now in US ...

Appreciate your injection of humour into the thread. However, internet access in camp is actually extremely limited. Just getting to the thread to see your entry and replying to you here took about 20 minutes. I would very much like to read from page 1, however, it would take an extremely long time.

I was actually hoping that bros who have recently been here for reservist and, hence,would have an idea of the R&R area, would be able to help.

bro, if u want night life, can try discos along ekkamai (think wrong spelling) .. RCA...

for soapies, can try MPs along rachada... nataree(mixed FRs, some good some bad.. puah heng suay), Emmanuelle etc...

if normal MP, can try those along sukumvit... pink, euro ... etc etc...

SAF ICT at Saiyok Camp can have R&R in BKK meh? Even if have R&R is only controlled educational tour in Kanchanaburi only. Only SAF senior regulars have privileges. Cheonging also limited to K Town only. Whale Hotel sounds familiar? :D

its not the matter of finding places to cheong its more on where you are in the first place, if his reservist is not even near BKK then its pretty silly he is asking abt BKK in the first place:rolleyes:

if in Kanchanaburi or Korat its totally donkey light years away from BKK unless he wants to awol and spent some time to travel down to BKK kekeke

dun Korat have their own activities there as well?

Don't forget the handicraft centre, crocodile farm, etc. Fucking boliao. Haha. You know what is the highlight? During dinner time at a restaurant. All the men are gorging their food like hungry ghosts. I thought why is it so? Then I just follow them. Guess what I saw? I entered a soapy massage for the first time! :eek: But won't have time to bonk lah. Just see see look look only. This was during my NS time. :p
