Car drive from Alor Setar Airport don't take more than 1 hour; it take lesser than 30 mins to reach border once you are on highway. No direct flight from Spore/JB though. Will need to connect via KL. Otherwise can fly direct to Penang and take mini van from Komtar on seat sharing basis. Mini Van from Danok to Hatyai is around 45 ~ 60 mins.

As for hotel used to stay in Sakura but guessed its kinda old now so decided to try something new, as in Mayflower. Travel agent recommended it. Any bros have any good recommendations with the price range around there. Dont need wifi, just want something comfortable that doesn't feel old and used alot:D
