Well if we look at the history of Siam to the creation of Thailand, there has always been plenty of blood shed for those jostling for control of this country. I dont understand it but then again they dont really need us to understand it. |

I found out that mixing with SYT [Sweet Young Thai] puyings got me no where in advancing my Thai. I am now making firends with MILF Thai teachers who are more willing to teach me Thai. No hanky panky way  So it is good bye Danok, Hatyai and Bangkok-Nara |

Re: Bangkok Field Report
just came back from BKK yesterday.Arrived on Saturday and stayed in Baiyoke Boutique. Pratunam area was quite normal. No change in situation since my last visit 3 weeks ago. Current situation is still safe for tourists. I was in a tuk tuk when we passed by a "REDS" convoy and they were happily pointing their water guns at me. I was sprayed quite a bit. Got a lot of phone calls from concerned friends during my stay. Had to re-emphasize that the situation isn't really that bad!
Enjoyed my trip thoroughly but couldn't compare with the 1st trip I had 3 weeks ago. This trip I bo pian, had to go with OC and her relatives so it was mostly a shopping trip. Now suffering from post-LOS sydrom..need to go back soon for a REAL trip!! Might be going to Phuket late April- early May for a diving trip although it might suck because of the monsoon season. Any bros wanna tcss in case the monsoon might put me off from diving? But if that were to happen, guess i'll be in BKK. ;) |
