Kent Ridge where the park is was the site of the bloody WWII Opium Hill Battle between Malay Regiment and Japanese troops. The death toll on both sides was heavy. During this period, may see apparitions of WWII soldiers on this hill.

It is said that there were so many aggrieved and lost spirits on this hill from the war, that a Buddhist temple Poh Ern Shih was built at the foothills after the war. The temple was for spirits of all races and religions to find a peaceful place to settle.

Many years ago when I was still young and daring,

1st Boyfriend:
- Is it just me, but Mandarin gallery like very quiet last time. So we decided to find one level and fucked in the nursing room. Damn funny, we still bought / brought condom cause I insisted that he needed to put it on. Swee, no one caught us. But damn paranoid that people will catch us.

I use to bonk my ex fb during my NS days at the stairs of the lift lending. The old HDBs do not have lift on every level and she lived on the top level. And since her block was facing a park it was quite quiet.

I can never forget the excitement of waiting for her at the lift landing late at night and bonk her on the stairway in her fastfood uniform and another 1-2 rounds in her house later.

Miss my fighting fit days. :D
