Loy Krathong Festival for 2013 DELAYED !

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has postponed its annual Loy Krathong celebrations in honour of the late Supreme Patriarch.

TAT deputy governor for domestic marketing Thawatchai Arunyik said festive activities will be suspended because the country is in mourning.

The government has extended the mourning period to Nov 23. The festival falls on Nov 17 this year.

He said the TAT will discuss the Loy Krathong celebrations, which are usually organised in Bangkok and other major tourist destinations, when the mourning period is over.

He noted that the festival - celebrated annually on the full moon of the 12th lunar month - is one of the country's top tourist attractions.At night, people float decorated krathong (small, lotus-shaped vessels) on rivers, canals and ponds.

Just came back fr bkk,all massage parlor are open.

Brown or white, as long as SYT, I am fine. This trip will head up to Hangzhou too. Cold weather is good to have a ger beside, natural warm brand.

DTAC also offers the same service and the same price. Suvarnabhumi airport has counters of all 3 telcos when you exit the arrival gates.

Generally speaking TRUE's coverage is great in major cities but bad in the countryside. AIS coverage is the best and on-line customer service is very good. Which other Thai telco provides operators that can speak Japanese and Chinese on top of English? Win already lor but plans is most expensive of the 3 telcos. DTAC pricing is in the middle ground and coverage is good everywhere.

From my observations most foreigners will choose True because their shops in Siam Square and Siam Paragon are very hip & cool looking. Their presence is also felt. Girls manning the counters are cute. So True wins in brand presence, lifestyle association and scores on retail brownie points from the other 2 :D

from what i have asked from actual thai ppl (basically the girls i am fucking) i have heard all three as "best" - one girl will say AIS best, one will say DTAC , one will say True - what that mean to me is that they are all about equally good , nobody much better than the rest

pricing and coverage not too important for me because i dont spend that much calling and dont run all over thailand and spend all my time in bangkok (and not even all of bangkok , only the MPs and fuckshops :D) so basically all three ok for me !
