Sorry no, you must bring as noted 3 items, passport, driver license and lease agreement of your apartment or condo. I opened an account with Siam Commercial Bank approximately 4 years ago with only passport and friend's address but now SCB are are very strict! Siam Commercial Bank requirea a working permit to open a savings account.

I never understood people asking - where's the best bars , MPs etc and going where the rest of the herd goes. All these places vary from time to time and depending on the people there. Throw a few 20B bills around and see if the party atmosphere will appear.

I would rather go to the lesser known bars and look for gems. :p

Angelwitch WAS good. When it first appeared , its shows were different from the usual pole dancing. But with Pattaya Angelwitch's impressive stage and other Bkk gogos copying the dance shows , its now only a pale shadow of itself. I dont go to Rainbow 4 anymore. 1,2,3 have better attitude girls but still some of the most stuckup girls in Bangkok.

To play safe, lots of newbies will want to make the best out the trip as they are in BKK maybe once or twice in their life times. So Rainbow 1-4 will be good. Sometimes I understand how they feel but it is getting frustrating, when they ask a question which can be easily found in the thread.

You are different, u r in BKK regularly, of cause u will want to venture out of your comfort zone. I am based in BKK, I am ever looking for new fun but do once in awhile go Nana, soi cowboy, Supan Kwai to drink and chat with the friends there.

I guess if you are a tourist ( esp those from america who took a long flight)/biz man ( no time to hunt) who stay in bkk for 2-3 nights only, you will need to visit places which is a sure fire bet....

This will include Pegasus, Poisedon, etc. however at such places , the damages is also higher. be prepared to pay like S$500 to tabao a gal ( ON) back from pegasus. excellent quality here.. tall fair skin type.

for people who are based in bkk for long time, i guess the game plan will evolved and be fine tuned according to budget and time.... the places these people visit will definitely differ from those that tourist like to visit. aka soi cowboy...etc

the last grp of people will be those who visit bkk like 4-5 times a year..
they usually avoid the touristy places like CM2, spasso , soi cowboy and may
prefer to try their luck at RCA, thonglor etc... :)

Ya... have to agree that because of the short stay and the culture-shock :D, it can be intimidating at times if one goes alone. It took me a few trips to BKK to finally venture to patts on my own. Even so, still exploring WS, though I do aim for beer bars in this coming trip.

For RB1-4, totally agree that most of the guys are nose-in-the-air types. Probably due to the ninhonjin. :rolleyes:

Totally agree that R1 sucks. Of all the 5 Rainbows (including the Saphan Rainbow), have BF all except R1. Only redeeming thing is the good location but the quality of gals is very poor. R3 should have remained in this location.
#2 from R3 is real sexy and popular. R2 and R4 still has more lookers probably cos same boss.
Anyway, if the R3 gal meant what she said that either shows she has some class or she is top of her acting class :D Just go alone another day to BF her.


Probably that is why even Filipino gals say Manila is actually "Money La".
In Bangkok, gal may ask her girlfriends to join for dinner and you foot the bill, that's all.
But in Manila, gal may ask her girlfriends to join for dinner and also order lots of takeaway food for her friends to bring home and you foot the bill and also give taxi money for them to bring their takeaway food home. At least Thai gals do have some manners and decency to know that it is rude to order takeaway for friends.

3.5K for first floor gal at Poseidon? Gee, have the prices gone up? Thot it was 1.7 - 1.9K for first floor FB and 3K up for upper floor models. Or has the setup changed now?

But I couldn't recall any lady below 2K, even on the ground floor

Not true la ........ I was in AC last month for my virgin trip and all i read was to go to Fields Ave. Hitting the bars one by one was like a cherry boy exploring Walking Street all over again. :p

Only when I came back did I read up on Double LDs , Santos Road , Cherry girls etc

The sense of adventure and anticipation of unwrapping up a present is so much more fun than reading it off the internet ; if anyone bothers anymore.

Covering new ground (even for old hand like you) is part of fun. You cut from diff cloth, and daresay many do the tried and trusted route. Many are few days trippers, not frequent flyers. So some leads (from cronies or sites like here) may come in handy.

Same for my solo Patts do before last Xmas. Did some groundwork on patts addicts site and here. Can also be confusing (misleading too!), risking info fatigue. Some pointers, like map and even (reliable) taxi contact came in useful. Even my odd day extension away from my side dish in bangers, can be exciting on my own. But can go belly up too hehe.

For likes of Naemlo, Norice who are privileged residents think they get jaded with usual touristy joints. Question is, are they prepared to keep cow or just get milk off the shelves? ;)
