intereSting, but wouldn't the police be able to track her down with that first license and fine her - assuming that uprightous policeman is not aiming for the side-cash?

That's pluzzes me too. If it's were to happen in our land, I'm sure double charges would be press on her. No wonder the Thais called their country Amazing Thailand.:p And im pretty amaze things happen in my daily life in their amazing city.

My Bkk gf offer 4kbaht also kena rejected, the police ask for 20k baht... Wah khun Thai le, already 20k laew... Luckily her ex was a high range policemen, he settled for her with zero cost... Heng...

Please do not drink and drive in Thailand..... Take taxi la... Cheap la, somemore 5x cheaper than Singapore. Midnight cab fare I mean... Haha

The address and ID number on the driving license may not be correct. Mine has a very old address really far away from where I live now, and the ID number is my IC number... they'd at best only be able to get you from passport number.

Also their jurisdiction ends at the edge of their precinct, so they would have to send the report/license to the precinct that the girl lives in... or at least is shown on the license.

Too much hassle and effort for the police, most of the time.
