Once during I was at Thong Lor soi sip, going to Thong Lor Soi Ha sip Ha, for second round at Wip, my girlfriend's friend insisted to drive her Honda Jazz after we three had finished Black Label at Funky. She look perfectly ok, till when she out of the carpark and make a right turn. From her turn, you can see she bit drunk. About 50 meter theres a police road block just before the traffic light. Was stopped by one of the police and and they talked in thai before he brought out the kit to test her alcohol limit. Clearly she was over limit and asked for her driving license, and asked to drive to the corner of the road shoulder after the traffic light. Asked him abou a price, he said no, even offer him 2k baht, still refused to take. During that, one madza 3 try to escape from the traffic police check. And he also help to stop the madza 3. Out of sudden, my gf's friend just drove off and increase her speed, not taking her license from the police. About 1km away, she stopped and told it was a closed one. But I told her, your driving license was still with the police. Should she return back to the police, she sure need to pay 20k and sit inside awhile as this is her 2nd offence.
Thought of making a police report by saying her wallet lost, to cover her deeds, but her dad will get the implication as the honda belong's to her dad.
Told me and my gf, she will be alright after a night sleep and will think of how she going to get her license back. Since this thing happened, we decided to call off our Wip program, and head back.
Next day, she called my gf, and told to my gf that her mum already made her new license @ 250 baht, which is cheaper then bribing the police.:p
Despite CNX is 2nd largest city in Thailand, but I don't see any traffic police doing road block whenever back from Riverside or Warm Up. Maybe I'm still new to the city.:p
