for KFC Farm you can go to SKY and Channivate need to be a early bird :D.... for night booking you can also book at Soi 2 near the Lee Garden Hotel :cool:

also you can try SC Heritage for high end booking about TB5500....

Songkhla Mermaid 'not for prayers'

The Songkhla Municipality in Hat Yai is reminding both tourists and local people that the famed Mermaid statue is not a site intended for prayers.

The municipality announcement on Thursday said the landmark was built to be a symbol of the city, to promote Samila beach for tourists, and for no other purpose.

The statement is in response to the actions of people who have begun draping the statue in yellow scarfs and flower garlands.

Beachside vendors say they believe that worshippers bought the scarfs and garlands after their prayers had been answered.

The municipality announcement said this worship was damaging the mermaid's reputation and to the intended purpose of the statue.

The bronze statue was cast by Chirt Buabutr, a former director of Poh Chang School, in 1966 and was commissioned by the municipality at a cost of 60,000 baht.

It followed the example of Copenhagen, in Denmark, which has the famed Little Mermaid sculpture as the city's symbol. The Danish statue has been with the city since 1913.

The Songkhla Mermaid is officially named the Golden Mermaid, or Nang Nguek Thong. ----- KatoeyNewsNetwork

SC heritage is a hotel so is 24hrs.. but the room which provide services.. I dunno... coz 5500bht I cant afford...

Was informed that get voucher from nearby tour agency is cheaper than booking hotel on line but most online booking require credit card payment first leh
So how to go about...

Can call and book from the tour agency in advance and collect the vouchers when you arrive in hatyai. :)

24 hours ....... but to book the WLs will have to depend on availability as the WLs are not stationed there now. You choose the WL from the OKT's iPad or laptop and he will send the WL to your hotel room. I believe the OKT is either a staff of SC hotel or a longterm resident guest there as his room is permanent. :D
