I was a bit shocked when I received the hotel voucher as it was clearly stated in it that please present the credit card used for the hotel booking att the time of check in ( and I used my frnd's card ) or ELSE THE BOOKING WILL NOT BE HONOURED ..

Agoda looks quite good for hotel booking. Has more hotels than asiarooms. Even they charge fee (which may be up to 30% of rate) on top of the rate they display, the rates look quite ok compared to asiarooms. The new Radisson soi13 is only around USD70 which is cheap though it may be just promotion offer. May book it on next trip.
And interestingly, the infamous Ruamchit hotel is also available for around USD50. LOL. :D

I have used both Agoda and Booking.com and lately I have preferred Booking.com because I do not have to pay in advance and they normally show the total room rate inclusive of tax & service charge while Agoda does not. Agoda also charge a US$15 for room cancellation while it is free for Booking.com.

Regarding Radisson on Soi 13, this offer rate has been going on for quite a long time already probably due to poor business. Although they are on Soi 13, they are quite a long walking distance out to the main Sukhumvit Road and it is a problem especially when it is very hot or raining.

End of my Bangkok trip today and flying to Chiang Mai...

Thanks to guidance from Bro Sextherapy, norice and other 2 bros (which i dont know their nick)

Summaries my sexitvities...

I usually use Booking.com to secure the room, and then check Agoda for a better rate before the trip. If Agoda offers the same rate, I will use them, as I can earn $ for each booking. You can use the money earned towards future bookings :D

Checking with booking.com is a good comparison (with nett rates). But not all are free cancellation (different tiers for same hotel). Guess promo deals on Agoda can be interesting and competitive. Agree one had to add on +10-15% for taxes on Agoda's pricing (their excuse: transparency?). But their reach is mind boggling. Besides upfront discount, there's also some points with +500 for each FR.

Sometimes, hotel promos directly maybe worthwhile too. No shows only if you at least give 24hrs notice.

Was comtemplating to go Angel Massage last night but too lazy and tired. Since staying at JW, I was given a choice to go Nana or Anne Massage (between soi 2 & 4). Anne maasage is one place that I have been going.

Also didn't know RB bars have 30+ though have to say late 20s and early 30s girls are wild.

The few times I went to check out MPs at lower Sukhumvit i.e. Annies soi2 and Darlings soi 12 few years ago, have been disappointed with quality, quantity of gals and facilities. Probably cos there is little demand for MP around this area as the customer base here go for bars (AGG and pool bars) /discos. Though service wise may be good as you have experienced.
The MPs at upper Sukhumvit from soi20+ like Angel Massage are much better but still cannot fight with top Ratchada/Phram9 MPs.
I agree that trip to Ratchada MP can be daunting especially with the bad traffic jam along Ratchada/Asoke in evenings which is why if I feel to MPs once in a while, would usually take the MRT/subway from Sukhumvit station in evenings. Or go by taxi early in afternoon before peak evening hours.
The quality, quantity of gals and facilities at Ratchada/Phram9 MPs (Poseidon, Nataree,Emmanuelle,Caesars,Utopia,Amsterdam,Long Beach etc) are few notches better so is worth the trip.
Nana/SC/Sukhumvit area is fantastic for drinks/pubs/pool/AGG/discos and early cheonging but not for MP. If you want different experience in Sukhumvit can try Eden Club soi7/1 for FFM "pornstar" action. Quality of gals ain't great but service can be mindblowing, wild, kinky :D

taking mrt to ratchada is the best mode of transport in BKK to avoid the bad traffic jam ... and it's convenient ... alight at Huay Kwang station and u'll see Emmanuelle big neon signboard right in front ...
