BTW anybody using prepaid Truemove-H for 3G? How do you check balance - stick it in a phone and text the usual true #? Speeds are good (around 3mbps down/1 up) at around 349B for 1Gb.

Going on 27 March will like to be advised by the lao jiaos... Hollywood in bangkok is what kind of joint? i would like to pay a visit there as i heard from my friends it's happening? can anyone enlighten me... thanks alot...

To check the phone balance is #123 call. 349B for 1G is consider a lot laew na.
For me enough to use for a month. Mine is a jailbroken phone, after 1G of 3G, I still can use 1G for edge/GPRS. Just switch off my 3G via sbsetting. :D
It's consider relatively fast, better the Sg network, I used Starhub when I'm back last two months ago, in a shopping mall I got no reception, but TOT has reception even when I'm a club toilet. :p

Thanks. I'll stick it my phone and try it out. I'm currently using it in a 7.2Mbps (down) HSUPA aircard it is was a big speedup over regular True (which I also have and I use for voice) and wasn't sure if I could text with the SIM in an actual phone. I've since upgraded to a 41Mbps card so will be curious if I can get faster speeds.

Part of ratchada soi 4,6,8 entertainment area. It is basically a big stage with different live shows: singing and sexy dancers and sometimes special shows (like korean bands etc).

If you are looking for quick shorttime without bringing girl to your hotel -

Tourist area - Patpong area. Though may be slightly more expensive than other areas but at least it will save you lots of time travelling. Try the massage palours in Patpong or the A Go Go bars. They have hotel rooms above the bars. Bar fine - 500 baht. Quick time - 3000 baht.

If you looking A Go Go bars that is slightly cheaper - try Soi Cowboy

Warning - A Go Go bars are mainly catered for tourists or westerners.However, some are catered mainly to Jap or Koreans which you can see the difference in the quality of girls. However, you can find some fair skin gem in these places.

If you are looking for traditional thai joints - then you have to go ratchada. If you read the forum threads, you will find plentiful of massage outlets or clubs.

If you are confident and think you can pick up a uni undergraduate, then try the discos like RCA, Funky Villa, Muse etc.

If you are lazy to court girls or travel by taxi but still want to chose the look of the girl and bring to your comfort of your room, then I suggest you go to some pickup discos like Spasso at Grand Hyatt Hotel or the disco at basement o Novetel Hotel at Siam Square area. Of course there are a lot more, impossible for me to type all here.

There is an arp nam in Patpong - JC Massage. Same SOP as Ratchada arp nams.
Mostly Japanese clientele but everybody else welcome there as well. It's opposite Meridien hotel on Surawong.

Used to be called JC Infinity, as some here might remember, was in front of Montien Hotel. Had to close down several years ago due to "police trouble" but re-opened in 2 locations (the other location is in the soi behind Montien) 2-3 years back.

Note about Patpong: taxis here are a mafia. If at closing hour, and you want a cab, safer to walk a little to the intersection of Rama IV and take a cab there - they will use the meter. At approx 1am, when the bars close, lots of eye candy (like Huay Kwang) on the streets of Surawong - they sit down by the roadside stalls and eat and chat. Unbelievable TVs walking around there at that time.
