Spas that demand Mobile Numbers📱📞

I know that NRIC and full name are required for massage parlours in SG. But mobile numbers?? There're quite a few spas that practice this (especially $88 joints)

When I refuse to give, they'd insist that I give so that I can save time 'checking in' in future

If I reply that it's okay, I don't need that 'autofill', they'd reply that it's The Requirement.

I am seriously uncomfortable in sharing my mobile for few reasons.
1. They've my name, mobile & even IC at their disposal (imagine from there)
2. Some of their tablets have Auto fill On! So when you key in your name or mobile...the autofill suggestions will list out names and numbers

Can seasoned and well informed chiongsters here kindly shed some light to this practice?

TQVM !!

There are plenty of other spas that dont have this practise.

The number act as a login name.
You can put a random 8 digit
But next time you visit. Use back the same 8 digit and your details will appear.
You put real or fake. Who checks?
I often have typo issues...

I had the same problem. I told the reception that I wanted to fill in my personal information myself, but she insisted on getting my ID and specifically stated that it had to be confirmed in person. I said goodbye to her

Remember digital footprint is forever.
I avoid filling, many spas don't so not my loss.
I avoid paying going paynow, paylah or credit card.

Cash is king, so is anonymity

when play larpsup, always remember one rule, cash is king

need IC ? byebye
need mobile, no problem i give a standard fake number that i can remember
payment? all in cash

tbh almost all the MP i visit never ask me for IC before (jurong west, central, kovan, amk).

There is no point of refuse giving ID to a spa just to ensure there are no traces of your visit. Apart from your ID, there are CCTV's as well. You are in no control to delete your footage and if the authorities as for it, the spa management dare not refuse.

Same goes for avoiding Paynow, NETS and credit card. No traces of transactions but does not mean do you did not visit the place. Your mobile phones and numbers can also trace your location. Technology is being used the way we cannot imagine.

Just stick to this rule: Give your number but the last digit -1. Easy to remember.

But ya, if they ask, just walk away, don't entertain these spas. There are PLENTY of other spas on the market... Imagine one day Singapore also tio those data leak where ppl post lapsup details online, and your number/name/nric pop up. Hoseh already.

What a dumb comment. Are you a spa owner?

We have choices in life and there are tonnes of MPs out there.

The assumption in your question is that people who visited Dome 1,2,3 also visit spas that demand mobile number. Many of us do not visit all sections of this forum.

I used to visit Dome 2. End up getting spam advertisements. Took me 3 years to stop receiving sms that promote new platform or girls. As for spas that demand mobile numbers, many of these owners do not just have a spa business. I realised I started getting loan shark advertisement offering quick loans.

Many of us have family and an inappropriately timed advertisement will trigger suspicion from the wife. Even if a reasonable answer is given, a seed of doubt has been planted. If there is a series of inappropriately timed sms/whatsapp messages, it will lead to more background checks. A lot of us just want to play safely

TS bro, if u got a family or u r a vip, i can understand ur concerns

but like some bros said, it is impossible to eliminate digital foot print. even u park ur car further down and leave ur phone in the car n walk a distance to the spa, it is still traceable.

no worries, there are still plenty of spas that do not require registration at all

for cat 1 spas, it is required by the law. else they will get fine and risk no renewal of their licences and close down.

or u could go gov registered tcm, then u can say ur body was feeling ok like ache here there or etc

NRIC & Name is requirement by licensing authorities...... no such requirement for mobile number.

But since the implementation of PDPA few years ago...... tracing of persons via mobile numbers has become the norm and easier than via NRIC. Most people now use their mobile number as their defacto ID in lieu of NRIC.

Having your name & mobile number.....is like having access to your personal details.
