I am starting this thread for foodies to recommend food outside the normal tourist beaten path. As most of us are now stuck in Thailand because of COVID and may be travelling internally to the provinces for our holiday, there are lots of opportunities to uncover hidden gems. No limitation to any particular cuisine as long as there are GOOD. Photos and locations will be appreciated.

Any authentic reasonably priced Thai food in Phuket? A lot of eateries there cater to tourists n quite expensive also.

If you like a good steak, try STEAKTORY in Bang Saen. For me it the best steak in the east. Prices start 550 onward for a 300gm cut. Great quality, you wont regret it. open evenings for weekdays and start 11am on weekends

Theres one cafe down the road open by a famous retire rockers but I cant find it on the map now. By the way nice thread you started up you 20 tmr after my power restore.

This shop is not your normal action oldies shop. it's really old and you can find the first pager collection, almost all nokia phone and many more. Food is very nice but a bit hard for car parking if crowded time. This restaurant only open from 5pm to 9pm. Do not go on day time.

For Bros who happen to pass by Siracha or stay near there, highly reccomend this Thai Chinese Restaurant, Tai Hee.. They serve one of the best Thai teochew food. Fish maw, braised pork throtters with man tou and some freshly made dim sum. There are 2 branches and I go to the one at Sukhumvit Rd more often.

My Favourite Kuang Seafood Restaurant, 166, 1-5 Ratchadaphisek Soi 10, Huai Khwang. Better and cheaper than Somboon Restaurant @ Ratchada.

If you happen to visit Huai Khwang and looking for a reasonably clean, good and affordable place to eat. Noi Seafood should be on your list of consideration.
To reach here, come out of the Huai Khwang MRT via exit 3 of MRT and keep walking left towards the night market. The restaurant will be on your left after you cross the first bridge over a drain.

Grilled pork neck – unexpectedly delicious considering we were at a seafood restaurant. The pork neck was incredibly tender with a sweet caramelized skin, it tasted a bit like char siew. A must try here.
