Yes, the same in China and even worse because of the one child policy. The sons are treated like Princes, and their whole life acts that way

Go to any restaurant etc and you see the Waitresses scurrying about, working hard whilst the waiters usually stand around, ordering their same grade female colleagues around, playing on their mobile, going out for smoke breaks etc. Most factories/offices prefer to hire girls as they're more reliable - but the problem I found is that there is not that many girls who have the necessary education or qualifications to do many jobs properly, and so I've had to hire guys...who turns out to be lazy idiots! Sigh...
