Philippines is wild wild west, depending on where you go, or the safest place, again, depend on where you go.
Generally, the southern side is the kidnap central, though in the North Luzon also there is communist entrepreneurs who occasionally kidnap some visitor to supplement their 'people's economy'
So, find out which part of PH she want you to go
