For ago go bars, selective bar do stop, one of them is crazy house. Unless you look like farang, as I believe they don't allow Thais to be in there.
Don't walk in dark alleys, especially in the night, if you don't know some self defence, but even you're a taekwondo black belt or wing chun fighter, you won't know what they have. This is Thailand. Self made pistol is also possible.

Some clubs if u go often and know the security people , they won't check but we are talking in general. They DO check for legal min age for both guys and girls.
