This stretch had streetlamps sited at long intervals. They were of the blue white type so not very bright.

Cars would be parked on the side of the road. One could tell there was action by the fogged windscreens and newspapers plastered on windows and windscreens.
Of course lots of crumpled tissue on the ground. Some doors would be open for much needed cooling after the hot and steamy activity.
Occasionally would see silhouette of woman on top position through the fogged windscreens.
There was safety in numbers and patrolling police cars also gave a sense of security.
Unfortunately after a serious accident in the 00s where a young life was lost antifog streetlamps at frequent intervals and speed humps were placed so another site bit the dust. Ahhh....memories.
