Some "new" rules will apply when KTVs reopen on Apr 19th - from what I understand, every room must have a working video camera recording and any room without a working videocam will not be allowed to operate. Masks will need to be worn at all times, and ART is required before entry. The rules also stipulate a 30-day requirement for the video camera recording, which the authorities can call up for spot-checks. The penalty for flouting these rules can result in revocation of license.

How strictly (or loosely) these will be enforced is the question mark. Pretty sure that in the first couple of months there will be frequent raids and perhaps a number of arrests and perhaps the revocation of license for some recalcitrant joints just so that the rest fall in line.

Personally, I think the first couple of months will not make for an enjoyable chiong experience - there are too many hungry chiongsters throwing stupid amounts of money and very few girls going around. The MOM webpage for Public Entertainer license application (aka "singer pass") clearly says that applications are currently not allowed and will likely be rejected. S-pass giels are few and rare, and their monthly costs for an Spass has shot up from roughly $3000/month to around $4500/month now - hence "butterfly" rates are now $100 and no longer $50

So the supply of girls are likely to come from girls on social visit pass (who manage to get through), or those few girls already in Singapore.

Expect to pay a premium, and for this to be a seller's market (so you will likely not have a good time).

My $0.02
You are right.
The girls quantity will take a few months before stabilize.
So going on 19th April will be rushing and deep pocket $$$ needed.
