This is just additional income outside working hours and a proper place to sleep, wash up and have a proper meal daily, instead of being cooped up in the stinking environment in the MP. Moreover, remaining in the MP runs the risk of being rounded up in an anti-vice raid. It's a win-win-win-win-win situation for the PRC ML.
And she'd score one more big win if she can subsequently convince you to give her a monthly stipend.
