i never carry my passport or a photocopy around when i'm overseas ...
but i always have my ID card with me at all time ...

once i was stopped by a thai policeman who's doing routine check ..
i showed him my ID card and replied him i am from singapore ...
he just hand me back my ID card .. and even said "Kop Khun Kup" ..
