Wanted to try the Viet-Thai coffeeshop at Lad Phrao tat Bro YY posted but it was closed when I arrived at around 10pm! Alamak... where to go now? Raining, kinda of out-of-town and not very familiar with the area. Cold, wet & hungry. OK... think! Hail cab... "Bpai Tawang Dang Puea Chiwit kap!"

Took an hour coz of traffic jam. Parts of Bangkok flooded due to heavy rains the past week. This better be worth tilak getting car sick. Bouncer check ID card; must be 20 years up to enter.

There is another Tawan Dang Puea Isaan across the road but me thinks if you like more thai rock&pop + pleng chiwit than luktung then this is the place for yah. After a few rounds of whisky + food in stomach we were singing along to the live band and dancing with our neighbours. Place is kinda frayed around the edges but atmosphere was great. Week night but packed... gotta luv da Thais... they know how to party.
