Which day were you there? I know that the Religious Police "visited" the hotel during the weekend and advised the Muslims found inside the hotel... It was not a raid but a reminder to respect the Ramadan.
Even the OKTs that man the counters outside the rooms are changed to Chinese except for one Malay guy on the 3rd level but he is a Christian.
