The word cute is very vague. It can really mean cute-looking or it can mean 'cute-looking'. Eg, a cute looking male model vs a chubby looking cute boy. Don't you use the word cute to describe both situation? It may not mean anything too.
I feel if you want to get a gf, you gotta be financially stable first. The sad reality is that most gals look for a guy that can provide for them. I heard of gals that don't mind being with financially unstable dudes but how many cases of such things happen really? All my previous GFs and now a wife is super high maintenance. I can say my wife spends about $8K worth of shopping alone per month.
For the friendzone part, I am not sure cos I would just give up n stay as friends if the gal wishes. Maybe you can be persistent in wooing her n one day she will change her mind about you. Some gals like to test on how fast the guy gives up on the relationship so they sometimes tend to play hard to get. There's no tips really. Just be confident, responsible, financial stable, have the correct etiquette n manners (esp being punctual), be a listener & be yourself (don't try to be someone you isn't). You don't need to be handsome or cute in order to have a gf.
