I can't help but wonder if this is another attempt at wayanging by SPF...as we all know in the past, prior to National Day, they used to do "ching ming" by sweeping GL. But nw that the street walkers problem is more less under control, they decide to sweep HDB joints. I don't believe they do not know about those okt sites and gals operating in housing estate. It has been going for a number of years already.

There is no way to totally eradicate. Worst is, if not careful dealing it, it might mutate into something knotty. But now the thing is, it breeds n multiply too fast too furious. When ppl complain, action needs to be taken. If next time, these wl know no way to earn fast money, it might choose to marry the men n wreck up ppl's families. By then, more social problem will arise. Hiding in the name of wc, sucking our local men hard earn money for life. More men being suck poor will lost their shelter, ability to work n needed help desperately, isn't it more worst. Maybe the cpf ms still can be of some help when they reach tbeir DDA.

I don't think they wanted to get rid of WL or prostitution. Government just wanted to have more control on prostitution like everything else in this country. What's the point of having a designed red light district if prostitute still spread all over the island? Of course, more WL and less FL also means more tax money to the government

You already been given the answer if you read the news, three customer were found and after questioning they were release. There is no crime looking for prostitute and don't think the police interested in the customer, mostly likely want to know where they got the contacts etc.

Fyi the gov does not tax the legal okt for their earnings, as the trade is considered an 'immoral" trade, the gov does not want to seen making their money off such things, cos if so than they are no different from an okt. the reasons why they license this legal houses is so they can keep track of prostitution.

Also for the FL, they won't be charged for prostitution but more likely for solicitation by advertising their services and as usual for violating their social visit pass ie cannot work during stay.
