Short Story: When Your Friend’s Wife Is Our Exes

As a single young man at the age of 29, the annual new year countdown could be a hit or miss. Either you were having fun or you were just watching other people having fun. Jonathan was unsure if he should join the trip to Bangkok with his male colleagues during the final days of 2022 and chiong until next year, or just simply ask a few uni friends for a gathering at his place. His parents were back in Malaysia JB for some family matters.

The dilemma persisted until he received a text in a WhatsApp group chat that was created back in his uni days.

“Hello muchachos, wanna count down together in KL?” A guy named Ben asked in the group chat. Ben was a hardcore Argentina fan and had been calling everyone muchachos (it means bros) ever since Messi won the World Cup in Qatar.

“Why KL sia?” Casper replied promptly. He worked as a marketing manager in a B2B software company and he was known for his flexible schedule. Regardless, he had a girlfriend and how flexible could you be when you are attached?

“When to when?” Jonathan typed and replied.

“Mbappe is the GOAT,” Wei Peng was trying to bicker with Ben as usual. He obviously supported France. Wei Peng was one of the two married guys in the group chat, the other one was actually Ben.

“Serene won a 3-room suite for two nights in KL at her company’s year-end event haha, the voucher is valid until next year, we thought why not do a countdown there, might be fun!” Ben replied to Casper’s question. Serene was his wife, a girl they all became friends with during the uni days.

“On, can my wife join?” Wei Peng asked. Jonathan was intrigued, he actually hadn’t met Wei Peng’s wife before.

“Sure one room taken then, one more left!” Ben replied. Obviously, the other one was for Ben and his wife, Serene.

“I am out, I am actually will be flying to Hong Kong with my gf haha,” Casper announced in the group chat.

“Bro, you leh?” Ben tagged Jonathan specifically and asked.

Jonathan was still thinking. He was actually sitting in his living room with only his underwear on. Some condom packs were scattered across the coffee table, and a bra was lying on the corner of the sofa.

“Jon, is my bra here?”A lady walked out of his room and asked.

“You won a trip to KL?” Jonathan asked.

“Oh, Ben told you guys?” Serene was slightly taken by surprise. Her nipples were visibly protruding under her fit cotton t-shirt. Her long jeans were not buttoned and zipped properly yet.

“Hehe, apparently I am joining the trip to KL and we could count down together,” Jonathan smirked and agreed to take up the offer by Ben in the group chat.

Jonathan threw away the phone, embraced Serene, and kissed her passionately. Both of his hands slipped underneath her jeans and grabbed her perky buttocks. Serene tried to push him away but it was futile. Soon, they were kissing and Jonathan just carried her back to his room while her legs wrapped around his waist, they both were ready to fuck each other out for the third time that day.

Ben didn’t know Serene hooked up with Wei Peng after he briefly broke up with her during the final semester of year 3. He also wasn’t aware of Serene being in a secret relationship with Jonathan during their JC days until they both mutually called it off when they started university.

It was only until recently that Serene and Jonathan rekindled their spark. Of course, Ben didn’t know about that too.

Poor Ben. He had no idea what he had just put himself into.
