Re: Great Services-Great Massages-Great Bonks
What's the best way to go RnF? Drive or public transport? Traffic across causeway is bad and one visit may take up the whole afternoon.

"For me, I find it most convenient to go across the causeway by public transport. Any jam in the causeway is bypassed/avoided. Going thru Sg and JB immigration is a breeze nowadays via electronic passport scanning. The hassle is the bus waiting time (about 10 min wait per bus??). If the queue is long, one may have to wait for the third or later bus before boarding. Once the RTS is ready, the overall waiting time shall be reduced significantly." Queue may exist if you take the Sg public buses. In my most recent trip, the queue was very short. First bus chop chop go. Bro Greencloud888 added "Bro going in the buses are quite frequent (abt SGD2/trip, Visa works best). Coming back can just take the private blue buses @ RM3/trip. Chop chop no jam." This is if you don't mind taking the Malaysian buses CW1/CW2 and the private blue buses. (If you are not comfortable walking 1 to 1.5 km and climbing up and down 3 storeys flight of steps, then it is better to drive) |

I had previously visited JB but that was pre-covid. Things had changed a lot. For the e-gate, if we use that, there won't be a chop. Will this pose a problem if heading back Sg? What about heading back? I read many run into problems w e-gate heading back to Sg. What is this private blue bus? I thought is for ferrying of workers? Where can I board this? Sorry to ask so much as it had been a few years since I visited JB. Quote:

Coming out on Mon-Thu are usually OK too even in evening peak hours. Avoid Fridays if possible. For Sundays recommend to reach bus bays no later than 5pm to avoid heavy crowd even using blue buses. If don't mind walking a bit, my suggestion is to drive/park at open carpark near Woodlands checkpoint (carpark code WLW3 - type into Google map or parking SG app can find easily). From the carpark it's a short 3min walk. Remember to start your parking app as there's no free parking even on Sundays. Alternatively you can grab straight to checkpoint. Mobile toilets are available right outside checkpoint before you go up escalator. Walk up escalator and follow path all the way into custom clearance (you'll pass by those queuing to take the train whom will enter through a different path). Take the eGates labelled as express or for SG citizens. No passport chop no problem when coming back at all (no evidence too, very important esp when going in frequently like me haha). Once clear immigration, it's short walk ahead towards escalator down to the bus bays. The ones at far end are typically fast/frequent (abt SGD2/trip), 5min or less journey to JB CIQ. Best to use Visa card (Mastercard not supported, Ezlink only supported on certain buses). Once at CIQ, again look for the eGates on the left which are usually short queues and fast moving. Once cleared you can follow the following video and walk to RnF via a 650m sheltered link bridge (about 10min casual walk). https://www.mediafire.com/file/ygfgm...ridge.mp4/file I recall there are also other similar YouTube video link posted by other bros. On a good day and if you can walk a bit faster (overtaking the slower folks ahead), it should take no more than 30-40min from Woodlands checkpoint all the way to RnF mall (incl clearing both side immigration + bus ride + sheltered link bridge walk). For return trip, take the same link bridge back to CIQ. After clearing eGate, walk straight you'll see the RM3/trip blue buses on the first few bus bays right after you come down escalator (avoid the super long queue for public buses unless you are very free). There is no real queuing system so just prepare RM3 on hand and bash your way up the buses lol. On weekdays and off peaks there are usually no queue at all for the blue buses, which will leave once achieve certain load of passengers. The key here is to quickly get onto the buses and you'll be assured of fast and smooth ride back to Woodlands checkpoint (there should be at least 2 bus bays, during peak hours sometimes 3 and price might rise to RM5 lol). After you travel a few times, you'll find that this path beats even taking train in terms of total travel time (there are lots of waiting time for train rides though a bit lesser walking, as the train will bring you straight outside the linkway to RnF). Hope this helps. Enjoy your value hunt @ RnF. Last edited by Greencloud888; 26-03-2025 at 05:34 PM. |

Re: Great Services-Great Massages-Great Bonks
Fyi.... all the PRC FLs/MLs in RnF are deported from SG and banned from returning to SG..... thats why they set up shop in RnF.... to continue to service their Singkie customers.
80% of their customers are Singkies as we locals know better than to patronise these overpriced FLs/MLs when there are more value for money deals around. |

There is a jetty at RnF itself..... you can come by boat if you happen to own one. No need to worry about traffic jams.
