if talking about PRC passport, do take note getting Japan visa got some requirements surrounding the applicant income and some other requirements. They can check it out on XHS.

Thailand and Malaysia (Sabah) also have places similar to Bali and probably cheaper.

Best of all, both countries allows for visa-free entry to PRCs.

Since she invited me to visit her city, idm actually since kinda 顺路 but I also allocated like only 2.5days from arrival to departure. I scared 时间越长，麻烦越多, hence just touch and go.
