Went there a couple of times over the last 3 days early in the afternoon. They have been closed.

What happened to it? Hopefully temporary only.

What normally causes a house to close temporarily?

Wow, those were prime properties in terms of quality & number of rooms. The playground is literally being constrained from all sides. So does this mean that 1651 and 2062 will be redeveloped for non-recreational purposes....like I don't know tuition centre, food court, dormitory.

At this rate stay at home and pcc......other options are risky from a safety/wallet/legal standpoint.

Majority of the terrace houses in GL are owned by landlords not related to the the the "OKTs" or the "biz owners" running the brothels there.

Most of these biz owners rented the premises from the respective landlords to operate their biz under the watchful eyes of AV.

Except for a few who owned the houses, the rest will just terminate their lease with the landlords when they ceased their biz.

The landlords can choose to rent out the houses (not necessarily to brothel operators) or leave it vacant.
It is their choice.
But then ofcos whatever biz they or their tenants intend to do must be approved by the authorities la.

As such, Lorna's retirement and cessation of her biz in GL have nothing to do with the respective landlords who will continue to own the property.

No need to redevelop or whatever..........

One of the OKTs on WH told me they pay $12k per month for rent!!!

Not sure why AV didn't allow Gordon to take over. The number of houses has been reducing a lot over the last two years. Our choices are getting very limited. Very sad!

The reason is very obvious.
AV is lao jiao to this game.

AV will never believe Lorna is retiring although she said she is.
This is a no entry biz and nobody will give up.
He/she will only sublet or sell to another operator for a fee.

If AV allow, then many operators will start to sublet or sell their biz and say he/she is retiring.
How to control illegal subletting or blackmarket transfer?

AV believe she will still remain as the backstage boss and collect "subletting" fees from Gordon although both of them deny.
Gordon will end up be a "puppet" working for his backstage "boss".

Currently, Lorna is the biz owner and she has to be there if AV spot check the premises.
If she "retire" then she just sit at home and collect money every month without putting in any effort.
If this is allowed to happen, then there will be no end to illegal subletting in GL.
Eventually all the "retired" GL bosses will be sitting at home collecting money without putting in any effort.

Currently, AV only allow the operator to transfer to their immediate family members.

That is why the previous 2060 close shop when the old man dies becos both his sons were blacklisted by AV long ago.
Not eligible to takeover.

Eagle shifted in and retired from 2060.
Again no eligible candidate to takeover.
So he also close shop.

Next is 2033 boss, Hoe Chuan who passed away few months ago.
Again nobody is "eligible" to takeover so the biz was terminated.
Then Willy shifted in from 2831A and operate from 2033 now.

Shan Shan has been transferred to 2033 liao.

She is now Dan Dan. New name.

2033 already has an ang pai Shan Shan.
So cannot have two Shan Shan.

The 1651 Shan Shan has to change name.
