Networking do have its benefits but of course what kind of networks you get access to is very important. For me I would appreciate some company if I have to wait for the girl but most of the time people will ignore the fresh faced newbie who sits by the corner playing with his smartphone.

i don't think anyone will give any info on that. Some house got their own runner some don't need it at all. What i think info frm SBF is good enough whereas intel is something deeper into their activities, and not necessary to find out.
